Thyme (White) Essential Oil

Thyme (White ) essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the thyme plant (Thymus Vulgaris). White Thyme does not refer to the plant itself, but the fact that it undergoes a second distilling process from red Thyme oil. Thyme essential oil has a herbaceous scent that will be familiar to many people from cooking with the herb. Thyme is one of many herbs that have been used for centuries across many nations and cultures. It has traditionally been used in incense in religious spaces, as well as for warding off nightmares. Thyme was often given to knights in the middle ages as it was thought to give them courage in battle. White Thyme essential oil has a high concentration of Thymol which has warming properties.

Thyme essential oil has a warm and stimulating aroma. Add a few drops of  Thyme to your diffuser to invigorate your day, Thyme essential oil also has insect repelling properties. Thyme can also be used to help cleanse and purify the skin. Combine one or two drops of White Thyme essential oil with a carrier oil to create a targeted cleansing product. Thyme essential oil can also be used for cooking in place of the herb itself.
